"It has been medically proven if you exercise your hand by gripping a spring-loaded device, it will tire your hand.  Once the exercise is stopped, the hand will be relaxed."

Dr. Stacy Godsey, D.C. Tyler, Texas

"One of the major problems in putting is gripping the putter too tightly or too much with the left hand (right-handed person.)  If the left hand is relaxed it will greatly improve your putting.

The same applies with taking your right hand out of your swing.  If the right hand is relaxed, then it improves your chance of hitting the ball straight."

Improve putting.

Improving Putting Stroke:
Right-handed

Prior to putting, squeeze the MGA at least 25 times with the left hand.  Stop compressing and let the hand relax.  The major problem with putting is gripping the club too tightly.  By compressing and then releasing the MGA, it relaxes the hand and decreases grip pressure.

Improving Woods and Iron Play:
Right-handed

Prior to taking a swing, compress the MGA at least 25 times with the right hand.  Stop compressing and let the right hand relax.  Relaxing the right hand will "take the right hand out of the swing."  This will aid in keeping the ball straight.

Putting Training Aid:
When practicing putting, clip the MGA to the lower end of the putter shaft so that the putter stands upright.  Align the putter with the hole.  When you think the putter is aligned properly, turn the putter loose, move to a position behind the putter and determine if in fact you are aligned with the hole.  This assists in determining if in fact your alignment is correct.

Aid in Standing the Club Upright:
The MGA also provides a way to stand a club upright when not in use.  For example, if a golfer misses a green, when leaving the cart he takes a pitching wedge and a putter with him so he does not have to return to the cart.  Instead of laying his putter on the ground, he takes the MGA and clips it to the shaft of the putter so that it stands up straight.  After shipping, he takes the wedge with him to the green.  Take the MGA from the putter and clip it to the pitching wedge instead of laying it on the ground.  This keeps the golfer from leaving the club since it is standing upright and he is able to see it.  Also, if the green is wet, it keep the club grip dry.  This same concept applies if the fairway is wet and the cart must remain on the cart path.   It can be used to stand more than one club up by simply standing one club against the other.
